BOLASPORT.COM – Dua pembalap Indonesia, Veda Ega Pratama dan Kiandra Ramadhipa, akan melanjutkan perjuangan Red Bull Rookies Cup 2025 seri Austria dengan race 2 di Red Bull Ring, Minggu (17/8/2025).

Pada race 1, Veda yang start terdepan harus rela finis kedua setelah ditikung Brian Uriarte (Spanyol).
Perjuangan Veda dipenuhi drama dari flag-to-flag hingga red flag. Akibatnya, balapan yang seharusnya berlangsung 16 putaran lalu dipangkas menjadi 10 lap karena faktor cuaca.
Pembalap berusia 16 tahun itu masih mampu menjaga posisinya sebagai pemimpin lomba dengan meski terus ditempel oleh Uriarte pada lap ke-8.
Namun masuki putaran terakhir, Uriarte sempat berupaya keras mengejar Veda di main straight Red Bull Ring.
Mengandalkan slipstream, Uriarte terus menekan Veda yang akhirnya harus tersusul dan gagal meraih kemenangan.
Sementara itu, Danish sebagai pemuncak klasemen sementara yang harus turun ke urutan kedelapan. Kiandra berhasil menyudahi balapan ini dengan berada di urutan keempat.
Uriarte juga menggagalkan Kiandra pada race 1 Jerman untuk naik podium pertama.
“Dalam kondisi balapan seperti ini saya mencoba tetap fokus sepanjang balapan dan saya hanya terus menjaga ritme saya,” kata Veda di parc ferme.
Veda menjelaskan penyebab diia bisa disusul oleh anak didik mantan manajer Marc Marquez, Emilio Alzamora pada putaran terakhir.
Veda disusul Uriarte setelah mencoba melakukan late braking karena merasa lajunya sudah berada di limit.

Meski begitu, pembalap asal Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta bersyukur karena dia mendapatkan poin yang berharga untuk posisinya di klasemen Red Bull Rookies Cup 2025.
“Pada lap terakhir saya mencoba sedikit melakukan late braking dan sudah berada di limit, Uriarte memiliki jalur yang baik di sisi dalam,” ucap Veda.
“Hal terpenting adalah saya bisa mendapatkan poin untuk kejuaraan,” tuturnya menambahkan.
Race kedua akan digelar pada Minggu (17/8/2025), bertepatan dengan Hari Ulang Tahun (HUT) Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia (RI) ke-80 tahun.
